Reltio, an SAP company: accelerating trusted data and context for the AI era
The close of the transaction marks a new chapter for Reltio customers, with a continued focus on premier customer experience, open-ecosystem support, and AI-ready data innovation.
Today marks an important milestone for Reltio, our customers, our partners, and our employees. SAP has completed its acquisition of Reltio, and we are now officially Reltio, an SAP company.
This is a proud moment. It reflects the strength of what we have built together for over 15 years: a cloud-native, AI-native data unification and master data management platform trusted by some of the world’s most ambitious enterprises. It also reflects the urgency of the moment. As companies move from AI experimentation to enterprise-wide adoption, the quality, context, governance, and interoperability of their data will determine how much value they can create.
Addressing the urgent need for enterprise context
Enterprises today operate across complex, heterogeneous landscapes. Most organizations run a mix of SAP and non-SAP systems, cloud applications, legacy platforms, data warehouses, analytics tools, and emerging AI environments. That complexity is not going away. In fact, agentic AI makes the need for trusted, interoperable data even more urgent.
AI agents cannot operate reliably if they are working from fragmented, inconsistent, or poorly governed data. They need accurate customer, product, supplier, location, employee, and other critical entity data. They need business context. They need governed access to harmonized, cleansed, continuously updated data that is usable across operational workflows and analytics environments.
That is where Reltio has focused since day 1. We create trusted “golden records” and deliver a unified system of context across the data landscape for our customers. As Reltio, an SAP company, we now have the opportunity to bring that capability to an even broader set of enterprise programs.
Expanding the vision for SAP Business Data Cloud
SAP’s intent is to accelerate the evolution of SAP Business Data Cloud from an SAP-centric data platform into a more interoperable enterprise data platform for the agentic AI era. Reltio’s cloud-native and AI-native MDM capabilities will play an important role in that vision.
Together, SAP and Reltio can help customers make both SAP and non-SAP data AI-ready, supporting more reliable analytics, automation, and AI-driven decision-making.
Our continuing commitment to an open ecosystem
Just as important, Reltio’s commitment to an open ecosystem support continues. We know our customers operate in multi-vendor environments. You should not have to choose between innovation and flexibility.
Reltio is designed to harmonize and govern data across diverse enterprise landscapes, and that principle remains central to our strategy.
For SAP customers, the opportunity over time is to bring trusted, harmonized master data and business context more directly into SAP Business Suite applications and SAP Business Data Cloud. This can help support better operational processes, more consistent analytics, and AI use cases that operate on trusted data at the source.
For Reltio customers who are not SAP customers, the opportunity remains highly relevant. Our focus continues to be helping you unify data across your existing landscape, regardless of where that data resides. Over time, you should also have more optionality to connect into SAP’s broader data platform capabilities when it makes sense for your business.
The next chapter for Reltio
This milestone is not an endpoint. It is the beginning of a larger chapter.
Our mission remains clear: help enterprises turn fragmented data into trusted, interoperable, real-time context that powers better decisions, stronger operations, and more reliable AI. With SAP, we have an opportunity to accelerate that mission at greater scale.
To our customers: thank you for your trust, partnership, and belief in Reltio. We are excited about what comes next, and we remain as committed as ever to your success.
