Forrester’s research shows a strong correlation between higher rates of revenue growth and two factors: a better customer experience and a concerted effort to use data to be insights driven. Coincidence? Hardly. Our research into how customer-obsessed firms do what they do revealed that becoming insights driven was one of four fundamental shifts in operating principles common to successful organizations. This report shows what being insights driven looks like and lays out the fundamental enablers that enterprise architects must put in place to make that journey.

The worldwide public cloud platform-as-a-service competitive market grew by about 41% in 2014, after growth of 32% in 2013, forming a market that is about $6 billion in size. The public cloud PaaS competitive market is broken up into submarkets. Cloud data services is the largest of these and accounted for 31.5% of the market and grew by 58.5% in 2014. Cloud application platforms accounted for 30.5% of the market and grew by 42.4% in 2014. These are the markets where Reltio participates.
Reltio hit the ground running in 2015 with substantial funding and a collection of early-adopter customers for Reltio Cloud. The company continues to make headway in its chosen industries and has already done enough to grab the attention of its primary competitors. That suggests that Reltio may come in for more intense competition, but is also symbolic of its success to far. The fact that the company is beginning to see RFPs that directly match its value proposition – a holistic view of MDM and applications – is encouraging, while the deal with IMS Health is also a significant validation of its approach that Reltio should be able to leverage to gain further customer traction.
IMS Health's selection of Reltio MDM and Reltio Cloud affirms the vendor’s best-in-class capabilities, market traction and long-term viability. It also speaks to the appeal of Reltio Cloud as a data- management PaaS, offering customers and partners a platform for building their own data-driven applications and data services. The majority of Reltio’s customers are in healthcare and life sciences. But Constellation sees Reltio as a horizontal platform provider that deserves consideration from would-be customers and partners in any data-intensive industry.
